When is SushiFest IV:XX?
SushiFest IV:XX will be held 4/19/2013 and 4/20/13
Where is SushiFest IV:XX?
Indian Creek, Utah. Creek Pasture Campground (see the map on the next page).
What’s the cost for SushiFest IV:XX?
$30 per person per night. If you are vegetarian then the cost is $20 per person per night.
SushiFest is a not-for-profit, non-commercial event. The cost covers your food costs. We are all friends having a private gathering. Sushi will be prepared all night long until everyone either passes out or says “I surrender”.
Most ingredients are organic (veggies). The fish comes from a variety of sources including San Diego and Hawaii (overnight shipping). Every effort is made to ensure the fish is very fresh and comes from only sustainable fisheries (see the SbN site for more info).
There are a variety of ways you can pay for SushiFest. The first is using Paypal - paypal(at)lafarge.net (please send as “Personal - Gift”). You may also send a check or money order. Contact me if you’d prefer that. Finally, you can hand me cash.
SushiFest is limited by the number of chefs so to guarantee your spot you have to prepay. At the moment is appears that SushiFest IV:XX will have a 26 person maximum (2 sushi chefs).
What should I bring?
Extra water is always helpful. Other than that bring the standard stuff for camping out in the desert. If you have a favorite sake cup that can be helpful. A nice bottle of sake might be nice.
What can I do to help?
The biggest way everyone can help is by doing the dishes in the morning. Another way to help is by helping set up and take down the sushi kitchen.
If you are a sushi chef let me know ASAP. That is helpful for many reasons.
Can I bring my dog to SushiFest IV:XX?
Dogs are generally welcome. We do ask they be well behaved and stay out of the kitchen on their own or they be put on a leash (I’m talking to you one-eyed Jack ;-)
